Health Coalition Hosts Festival of Fitness May 4

Healthy Choices, Healthy Communities will host its third Festival of Fitness on Friday, May 4 beginning at 5 p.m. in downtown Ashland. The Festival of Fitness takes place in conjunction with the City of Ashland’s First Friday event.

Festival of Fitness will feature fitness activities and educational opportunities free to area residents. Activities will be geared to all fitness levels, so that beginners and more advanced individuals can participate. Activities and information available May 4 will include those for:

•    Biking
•    Children’s Obstacle Course
•    Cooking Demonstrations
•    Geocaching
•    Health Screenings
•    Hiking
•    Kayaking
•    Martial Arts
•    Pickleball
•    Tennis
•    Toning Classes
•    Walking
•    Yoga
•    Zumba
•    And Many More

Healthy Choices, Healthy Communities representative Joseph Mazzawi said the event will continue the tradition of providing a good opportunity for area residents to learn of and begin healthier habits. “Healthier lifestyles are rooted in the foundation of community and knowing of the support and resources available in our community,” Mazzawi said. “As a health coalition, we want to provide families and individuals a fun evening outside while also exposing them to the many wonderful health and fitness options available in our community.”
